2009 Undergraduates Scholarships Program For Hispanic Heritage
All scholarships are sponsored by Hispanic Scholarships Fund (HSF) the nation’s largest provider of college financial aid for Latino students.
Here are the list of 2009 available scholarships for Undergraduates Student :
HSF/General College Scholarship
HSF/ General College Scholarships are designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a college degree. Scholarships are available on a competitive basis to:
- Graduating High School Seniors
- Community College Students
- Community College Transfer Students
- Undergraduate Students
- Graduate Students
Award amounts generally range from $1,000 to $5,000.
HSF/Atrisco Heritage Foundation Scholarship
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and Atrisco Heritage Foundation have partnered to provide scholarship awards to assist outstanding Latinos who are heirs of the Atrisco Land Grant of New Mexico. Applicants may reside nationwide and be graduating high school seniors, undergraduate students or graduate students. The award amount is $2,000 to be disbursed in Fall 2009.
Please note, these scholarships are only available to verified heirs of the Atrisco Land Grant.
In order to access this application, students will first need to contact the Atrisco Companies to verify heirship. Please contact Anita Lucero at (505) 836-0306 to obtain your Heir Registration Number.
HSF/Citi Fellows Program
The HSF/Citi Fellows Award is a two-year award. Selected students will receive $5,000 for each of their Junior and Senior years for a total award of $10,000. Awards will be disbursed in one disbursement during the fall upon receipt of full time enrollmentment and provided the student maintains the standards of academic progress as defined by HSF.
HSF/Citi Fellows will also be paired with a Citi employee who will serve as a professional mentor and offer career guidance. HSF/Citi Fellows may have the opportunity to attend a professional development conference in the fall of their Junior year.
HSF/ GMAC SmartEdge Book Scholarship Program
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) and GMAC Financial services have partnered to provide book scholarships to assist outstanding Latino students in their purchase of college textbooks. This scholarship is open to undergraduate students in selected geographic locations pursuing degrees in Business, Education or Urban Planning.
GMAC Financial Services invites students to complete the SmartEdge online financial education certificate program. The financial education certification program is designed to provide information about budgeting and credit management. To complete the certification, visit www.SmartedgeByGMAC.com.
